Parent Resource Center
In order to volunteer at Ronald E. McNair Middle School, you must complete an application and background check.
If you are interested in volunteering your time and service to our learning community, please see Ms. Pennington in room 106 to begin the application process.

The Parent Resource Center is a room at the school used by parents and volunteers.
The Parent Resource Center is used to:
- Call parents and local businesses to talk to them about becoming volunteers.
- Call parents to inform them about upcoming meetings and workshops.
- Participate in parent trainings and tutorials.
- Format letters, flyers, newsletters and other documents to be sent to parents.
The Parent Resource Center has a wide variety of resources available to parents.
The following resources are available in the Resource center:
- Parental involvement information and Title I information
- PTSA information
- Computer and Internet accessHealth information
- Job information
- Training information
The Parent Center is opened and available for parents to use when the school is opened.
The Parent Center is operated by the Parent Liaison.
- The Parent Liaison plans and conducts monthly workshops for parents.
- The Parent Liaison maintains a list of specific assignments for parents to perform as volunteers.
- The Parent Liaison maintains the center files and/or notebooks of compliance documents, volunteer lists, and activities for parents etc… The records are kept on file for two years.
